The Tenants Moved and Left Their Junk!

As a landlord have you ever wondered what to do when a tenant leaves a house, garage or attic full of junk? We would love you to call us but first before getting rid of the junk your former tenant left make sure they actually abandoned their stuff.  If they signed off on the condition of apartment statement and returned the keys their probably not coming back for the junk they left behind.  Next, send a certified letter to their forwarding address giving them 24 hours to remove their belongings or else it will be junked.  Now you have proof that you tried to contact them.  Next after the 24 hours you may want to document everything they left behind with a notebook and pictures.
